Reply to proofs for manuscript LB13872 by Srivathsan et al. 1. Brenda: How to choose sequence? 2. Spelling of our affiliation: Affiliation 1 ("Center for Quantum Technologies...") should probably follow the official British spelling of our institution, i.e., use "Centre for Quantum Technologies". 3. links 4. City of Nielsen/Chuang: According to the first page, the book is published in "Cambridge, UK", but in the US by "Cambridge Universiy Press, New York". If you typically refer to the first edition, the publication year was 2000. The year we quoted was for the book in our shelf. Please proceed according to your policy/style. 5. Publication year of reference 42: The print version was published in 2011, and it seems that the journal itself is referring to it in this way as well, see http://www.nature.com/nphys/journal/v7/n1/full/nphys1805.html. So unless PRL has changed its referencing to online publication dates, we suggest to keep 2011 for consistency. This has happened before with Nat. Phys. references, maybe there is a database issue. 6. The reference to Fig. 3(a) in the proof is correct. 7. Adding of labels (a), (b), (c) to figure 3 is correct, thank you! Other comments: 8. Page 2, right column, near end of first paragraph: "...step, a seed light at 795 nm..." We suggest to remove the article "a" and replace it by "...step, seed light at 795 nm..." 9. Page 2, right column, next paragraph: "...quantum efficiencies of ~40%" We suggest to remove the "of" for consistency with the quotation of the dark count rates 10. Page 3, right column, last sentence of last full paragraph: "This is comparable to..." We suggest to replace this by "This is compatible with..." because the two values we refer to actually agree within the error bars. 11. email contact: Please add an email byline "christian.kurtsiefer@gmail.com" to author Kurtsiefer
